EN388 4543 Performance Breakdown

The YZ-C401 carries the CE EN388:2016+A1:2018 mechanical risk rating 4543. Here is exactly what each digit means and how the glove was tested:

Why the letter X matters: The Coup test uses a circular blade under a fixed 5N load. Stiff fibres such as glass fibre can blunt the blade and produce a conservative (lower) reading. That is why EN388:2016 requires the ISO 13997 TDM (TDM-100) test for any glove with a Coup result of 5 or 6. Our YZ-C401 liner reaches TDM Level F (22N+) and ANSI A4 on the equivalent straight-blade test, so the 5 rating is a floor, not a ceiling.

Material & Construction

The YZ-C401 uses a 13-gauge seamless knit liner that wraps glass fibre filaments inside HPPE (High Performance Polyethylene) yarn. This construction gives three properties that matter on a cutting line:

• Cut resistance: HPPE is 15x stronger than steel by weight; glass fibre adds a rigid high-modulus core that stops the blade edge.
• Dexterity: 13-gauge knitting keeps the glove thin and breathable for assembly, sorting and inspection work.
• Washability: HPPE is machine-washable and chemical-resistant, so the liner keeps its rating through multiple industrial wash cycles.

The glove is available uncoated or with a palm PU / nitrile micro-foam coating for extra grip on dry or oily surfaces. Contact us for coated versions if your operation handles slippery sharp parts.
